The International Certified Energy Auditor program prepares participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to assess and recommend energy savings measures for commercial and industrial facilities. The course covers the key steps necessary to evaluate facility energy systems from preliminary surveys through ASHRAE Level 3 Energy Audits. Coverage will include financial topics such as economic analysis, measurement and verification and performance contracting. Successful passage of the certification exam will identify professionals as having the required knowledge and experience to excel in the field of energy auditing.
A CEA can provide a systematic assessment of facility energy systems, ranging from preliminary survey to investment grade audit, and identify energy management measures with due regard for —indoor air quality, code compliance, operations and maintenance, and risk mitigation. A CEA will effectively communicate with the client providing detailed implementation plans, and investment-grade analysis.
